What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a "whole body" system of manual therapy that can heal a great number of medical conditions and give relief from pain when other form of treatments may have failed.
Osteopathy is a holistic approach and drug-free non-invasive manual medicine.
It is based on the theory that your whole body will work well if your body is in good structural balance. Therefore osteopaths do not simply concentrate on treating the problem area, but use manual techniques to balance all the systems of the body, to provide overall good health and wellbeing.
The osteopath uses gentle stretching, massage and manipulation of the muscles and joints to treat damaged parts of your body.
In most countries osteopaths are statutorily registered practitioners and five year. They have five years of full-time university training, which covers anatomy, physiology, pathology and general medical diagnosis in addition to Osteopathic technique.
